My name is Joachim Rambeau. I am French, 32 years old. I obtained a PhD in theoretical physics in 2011, at Université Paris Sud, Orsay, France. This is what I looked like in 2014:

Since November 2015 I'm a tripartite postdoc in the following groups:

Experiences and education:

  • 2013-2015: Postdoc at Université de Montpellier, France
  • 2011-2013: Postdoc at Universität zu Koeln, Germany
  • 2008-2011: PhD at Université Paris Sud, Orsay, France
  • 2007-2008: M2 Physique théorique, Université Pierre et Marie Curie and ENS Paris, France
  • 2006-2007: M1 Physique de la matière et des matériaux, Université Henri Poincaré, Nancy, France
  • 2007: Licence de Physique, Université Henri Poincaré, Nancy, France

Through these, I've acquired

  • theoretical physics background
    • computational skills
    • numerical simulations
  • post-doctoral experiences in biology
    • bacterial culture
    • fluorescence microscopy
    • data analysis related to above points

On a day-to-day basis, I'm using

I like doing science from growing bacteria to computing integrals in the complex plane with few intermediates in between: measuring things, staring at data, building computational tools, and making models.
